H4PERION
The H4PERION project aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of large oceangoing vessels by developing a novel internal combustion engine (ICE) capable of running on biomethane and zero-carbon hydrogen fuel, with the potential for 100% hydrogen operation.
H4PERION is pronounced “hy-PEER-ee-on” — the “4” reads as a y — inspired by Hyperion, a Titan of Greek mythology.
